If you’ve ever dreamed of a career in automotive engineering, then this is the internship opportunity for you.
The Infiniti Engineering Academy is accepting applications for its global internship program and seven engineering students from around the world will be selected to join their team for a year. And not just any team, but the Infiniti/Renault Sport Formula One team.
This isn’t a ceremonial internship. It’s an honest-to-god, hands-on, work-with-the-best-on-the-most-technically-advanced-race-car-in-the-world kind of internship. You’ll spend a year in the UK working both at Infiniti’s Technical Center in Cranfield and then the RenaultSport F1 Team in Enstone.
As Tommaso Volpe, INFINITI Global Motorsport Director said, “With Formula One more relevant to the automotive industry than ever, and with the enhanced scope for collaboration and real technology transfer that the Renault-Nissan Alliance and our Technical Partnership with the team bring, the Infiniti Engineering Academy will provide an unmatched range of experiences and opportunities to the 2017 winners.” One winner will come from seven regions of the world, the U.S., Asia & Oceania, Canada, China, Europe, Mexico and the Middle East.
In the Unites States, in addition to information about your schooling and experience, applicants must take an online test designed by puzzle experts Brilliant. The ten finalists will be brought to Infiniti’s US headquarters for a day of intense tests and interviews. For one lucky engineering student, the payoff will be well worth it. Last year’s winner, Caitlin Bunt, explained, “I anticipated this experience to be absolutely amazing, but I still found myself blown away. I am participating in projects and gaining experience I never thought I would get to in my first six months. Being here, behind the scenes and contributing to these exciting projects is a dream come true.”
The application period runs now until May, 20th for this unique program. While some hope to put their career on the fast track, the Infiniti Engineering Academy puts it on the fastest track.
